Xiangqi

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

Move your pieces according to their unique movement rules. The General can only move one square at a time within the palace. Mandarins are limited to diagonal moves within the palace. Ministers move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot cross the river. Knights move one square straight and then one square diagonally, if not impeded by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, making them powerful attackers. Cannons move like chariots but must jump over exactly one piece. Soldiers move forward one square and capture diagonally after crossing the river. Remove the opponent's general to win the game. Think ahead your moves carefully to defeat the computer opponent.
